First, we’ll start off by introducing Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Lavin Mahomes is the Kansas City Chiefs, quarterback. He is the face of the national football league at just the age of 25. He became the only quarterback in history to throw for over 5,000 yards in a season in both college and the NFL. He joined Peyton Manning as the only player to throw 50 touchdown passes and 5,000 yards in a single season in NFL history. He was named to the Pro Bowl, named First-Team All-Pro, and received the NFL Offensive Player of the Year and NFL Most Valuable Player awards for his success as a starter in his first season. What a talented guy. This paved the path for his millions. For a total of $503 million, Mahomes signed a 10-year contract extension in the year 2020 worth $477 million and with further incentives of $26 million in the future, making it the second-largest recognized contract in sporting history. This brings us back to the topic of this article… how does Mahomes spend these millions? Not everyone can live a lavish lifestyle, but a lot of us like to at least wonder what it must be like.
So let’s take a look at his 1.9 million dollar mansion, which he purchased in May 2019. The home is near the luxurious Mission Hills Country Club on a 1.5-acre piece of land surrounded by lots of trees, creating spectacular green scenery to wake up to every morning. The house was designed in 1953, and the 3,759-square-foot house contains three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a home gym, a pool, and a chef’s kitchen. Despite such a massive price tag, this didn’t seem like the end of his spendings. Mahomes and his girlfriend’s Brittany Mathews, have made many renovations to suit their style and comfort, which, needless to say, cost them even more money. This house also has a 3 car garage, although he definitely has a lot more than just 3 vehicles. Moving into the interior, we will take a peek into the master bedroom which covers about 1250 square feet. The glass floor-to-ceiling windows allow for ample light to illuminate the room. There is a huge TV and a sitting area in the bedroom. In this room, his 180 pair shoe collection is the biggest name signed under Adidas. Mahomes has every pair ever in the Adidas collection, from Yeezy’s to custom boots. Each of these pairs has its own display lighting, and the room has cameras and added anti-theft securities. All athletes tend to have a thing for shoes. Patrick had more than this 180 pair collection but had to have it narrowed down to be able to wear each pair at least twice a year. You’re looking at a rough total of about 10,000 dollars on just the shoes! The master bathroom was also made to match the bedroom’s beauty as it comes with a bunch of features. It boasts a limestone-crafted bathtub, Italian-made lighting system, and a wall covered in dressing mirrors. Now this house may have been constructed in the mid-century but don’t be fooled. It has all the latest technology installed such that Mahomes gets his daily schedule read aloud by his google assistant. The google nest controls all interior features such as lighting, music, and the security system. During the home tour, Patrick said quote “Setting down roots in Kansas City was huge for us. I think the people are what we love most about Kansas City. We’re trying to be here for a long time.”
Patrick Mahomes has been in a relationship with his girlfriends for eight years, so it’s no surprise that he proposed to his lady love Brittany Mathews last year. What does come as a surprise to us simpletons is that along with this engagement came another big purchase. This ring was said to be worth six figures. The stunning and trendy engagement ring features a 10.5-carat emerald cut diamond displayed on a platinum diamond double band. This band includes 255 diamonds and 36 genuine rubies with an estimated cost of about $350,000 to $800,000. What a lucky gal!
Mahomes and his girlfriend also show off a spectacular car collection. Athletes don’t just compete on the field only. With all the money in their wallets, they take the competition to the roads with their posh cars. These machines get not just a few heads turning but several and many looks of envy which is fair. When Ferrari revealed their car lineup for 2017, a lot of eyebrows were raised, and there were no Pininfarina-designed vehicles. For the citizens in Maranello, the release of the Ferrari 812 Superfast marked a new start. These vehicles didn’t signify a new start only for Ferrari but also represents a new beginning for Patrick Mahomes. It was the first car he purchased since signing his mega-contract. Wherever Mahomes goes, the shadow of his half a billion-dollar contract will follow him, but if he’s in the driver’s seat of his brand-new Ferrari, then he has an excellent chance of outrunning it. Mahomes began his collection of vehicles, driving a modest luxury sedan, and has progressed to his first exotic car ever since. In 2019, after an outstanding game, Patrick Mahomes took home his first-ever Pro Bowl MVP award. As part of the award, the Chiefs quarterback also got a brand new Genesis G70 luxury sedan. Genesis is the new kid on the block, like Mahomes, so it was only fitting that the two ended up together. It has a sporty exterior, high-end interior features, and enough room in the luxury sedan to accommodate the entire Mahomes clan. The G70 was not completely tame; the sedan’s more sporty edition comes with an impressive 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces up to 365 horsepower when combined with a manual transmission.
Before Mahomes was recognized for his touchdown passes, he also had a history with baseball. Despite not playing baseball anymore, Patrick still found a way to keep up with baseball. Patrick Mahomes Senior, his dad, was a major league baseball player for over a decade, and Patrick Mahomes II was also a decent pitcher but obviously didn’t give up his place in his legendary football career. Instead, the Kansas City Chief’s Super Bowl-winning quarterback announced that he is the newest member of the ownership group of the Kansas City Royals. The Royals are supposedly valued at just over 1 billion dollars, according to Forbes. Although he started as a minor owner, with this big cheque that just came in, he can become a majority owner in the years to come, which would make him the first professional football player to own a major sports league franchise. It must be noted that this was a really good investment move as putting down money to become a part-owner of a professional sports team is no small purchase but for all the money invested a big return is expected everytime the team rakes in a win.
Along with all this luxury, it is also no surprise that Mahomes is not a stranger to fancy and expensive jewelry. This is a necessity for a young superstar, and with all that money, he has a right to splurge a couple thousand here and there on jewelry. He partnered with Helzeberg diamonds to produce exclusive diamond pendant necklaces for both men and women. Watches are also another personal accessory that must be owned as a powerful display of status. While the Pete Rozelle Trophy, awarded to the Super Bowl MVP, maybe the larger piece of bling on Mahomes’ left wrist, we have also seen what appears to be a heck of a watch: the Everose gold Rolex Yacht-Master 40. While the Pete Rozelle Trophy, awarded to the Super Bowl MVP, may be the larger piece of bling on the left wrist of Mahomes, we have also seen what appears to be a heck of a watch: the Everose gold Rolex Yacht-Master 40. This Yacht-Master edition costs about 47,150 dollars, which features a diamond-set dial, a Cerachrom bezel, and an Oysterflex bracelet.
While Patrick may be spending extravagantly on materialistic items, he obviously must do and enjoy all that money he earns. He must also keep up with his game. The NFL star invents plenty of time and money to make sure he is at the top of his game; therefore, he works with many recognized personal trainers and coaches, including Bob Stroupe. Stroupe works at the athlete Performance Enhancement Centre in Texas. Stroupe has built a regiment specific to Mahomes’ play style. Not only is Mahomes pinpoint accurate, but he can also fling a football farther down the field than most quarterbacks, which obviously requires some major arm strength. Apart from throwing the ball, Mahomes must also make plays with his legs. His speed and agility play a big role, and he needs to keep up in order to continue to present the full threat he poses. All this personal training and personal coaches cost plenty. Don’t forget about nutrition, as Mahomes is also kept on an impeccable diet to stay strong. He is mindful of what he consumes and the training he requires, so it does not matter that he spends a ton getting the very best advice and the very best training.
Although Patrick spends a lot of his earnings on himself and the extravagant lifestyle he has also made sure to give back. In 2019 Mahomes created his own non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged children. At its first annual fundraising gala, the organization awarded 225,000 in grants to Grassroots Organization. He also stepped up in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and donated 15,000 dollars to the local Kansas City Harvesters food bank and his foundation pledged 100,000 dollars to aid the Kansas City public school lunch Programme. This was all before he signed his massive multi-million-dollar contract therefore it is expected that he would be making more generous donations in time to come.
Patrick Mahomes is only 25 years old and is at his prime with many more great years ahead of him. With such a bright future and a solid career, he has been blessed. The millions and the lifestyle are all a return on his hard work and dedication and we are sure to see more great achievements in the years to come.
